About Jenn
Jennifer Ackerman Kettell has written half a dozen books under her own name and has worked behind the scenes as a contributing author, ghostwriter, and technical editor on two dozen other books. In between books, Jenn’s moved from Massachusetts to Virginia to Washington State to Arizona and finally to New York. Eventually, one hopes she’ll at least settle on one geographic area even if she never truly stays put.
Then again, not settling down is pretty much a theme for Jenn’s life. After starting out as a fiction author, Jenn took time to write technical books about web design, graphics, and various software applications. Now she’s working on fiction and non-fiction projects concurrently.
Parenting has also had its twists and unexpected turns. When her now 13-year-old twins were in second grade, their teacher told Jenn to stop letting the kids read books at home because all their learning should take place in school with the rest of the class. Within two weeks, the kids were out of school and have been homeschooled ever since.
Jenn, her husband Greg, and the kids currently live in upstate New York. They share their house with a dog and three cats. While no cross-country moves are currently pending, you never know where they’ll wind up next!
